What is The Hive?

With over 10 years of experience designing and importing custom hardware and packaging solutions from the factory to the U.S. market, we’ve reached a volume where we are making 9 strategic purchases per year where we combine the volume of all of our members to achieve the best pricing for custom solutions in the market.

Our team takes on the responsibility for managing Quality Control, supply chain, innovation and vendor management so you can focus on your core business and not wondering if packaging and cartridges will arrive in time and in working condition. 

Together, we can combine our established relationships we can help increase brand recognition through innovative and beautiful packaging while leveraging our combined purchasing volume to gain access to out of reach quantity discounts. 

Our Process

We’ve refined the sourcing process for simplicity but we do operate on a rigid timeline.  If this process is not completed in full, your order will not be placed.

If you’ve never made a Hive purchase before, your best start is to engage with a Honeycomb Account Manager to start the process.  They will be able to provide templates for hardware and packaging solutions.  No graphic designer?  No problem!  We can help.

Looking for packaging for 510 thread cartridges?  Are you needing the cartridges as well?  Pre roll tubes?  Let’s narrow conversation to understand what exactly is owned and what’s needed.  What support staff is built out and what help is needed.

Confirmation size of packaging will be able to effectively house the final product.  Confirm packaging requirements and hardware details such as tip type and press-on or screw on caps.  At this point, Honeycomb should be able to provide worst-case scenario pricing.

At this point, we know what is going to be purchased and the dimensions.  Now you can expect to receive a premade, blank die line to lay out your packaging.  No designer?  No problem!  Notify your account manager for design services.

With a fine tooth comb, the customer reviews all artwork, compliance language, content, and provides signoff to send.  Honeycomb then submits all artwork files to supplier with final quantity numbers to suppliers and generates customer invoice.

Once payment is confirmed, we will update the order with the supplier.  Orders that are not marked paid will not be submitted.

Depending on the volume of the overall order, we have, and often do secure additional discounts at the time of order.  This is where The Hive becomes strategic.  We spread those savings back as credit on account with our Hive Buyers.  The larger the buyer, the bigger the rebate.  Although these aren’t Earth shattering numbers, we feel like it’s important to spread additional savings back to our community.
